River Trip

Mark finally got his wish! He's been wanting to take his ladies out in the boat for a long time. I am not into fishing so I have been resisting this idea but one morning I surprised him and asked him to take us out. We picked up a picnic lunch and we had a really good time! Madeline did great in the confined area.

Party Time!

We had a wonderful evening celebrating Madeline's birthday! Our families came over and Mark made an incredible horse-radish encrusted prime rib. It was delicious! I know future parties will include lots of kids and kid food but this was one last adult food party!

Grammy brought a singing birthday bear which was a huge hit!

Madeline is 2!

April 21 was my sweet girl's second birthday! It's hard to believe! I wanted her to wake up to surprises in her bedroom. I put a balloon and a Tinkerbell stuffed doll (tbell as Madeline calls her) in the crib.

Her theme this year was ladybugs so here is the cake I made. I wish it was redder but I kept adding more and more food coloring and it wouldn't change from this pinky-red color.

Party favors were colored MMs. I was fearful this would look like UGA colors and that would be a no go. So I added some brown in there as well. Whew!!

For Mothers Morning Out, I took these ice cream cupcakes for Madeline's birthday. Miss Mary said they were a huge hit!!

Madeline received some Peeps in her Easter basket and is really enjoying them!!

Hunting Eggies

Our neighborhood had our annual Easter Egg hunt. Madeline was much more into it than last year but after about 5 eggs, she was more interested in playing on the playground.

Mark and I have this amazing screened porch that we love to hang out on. In the Spring and Fall, we eat almost all of our dinners out there. The summer is too hot so we have to take advantage of the mild temperatures.
